This rocket is actively stabilized, being controlled by an actuated motor mount instead of fins. This project was inspired by similar finless rockets seen on YouTube, especially the rockets built by BPS.Space. Seeing the first crewed Falcon 9 flights in 2020, I took it upon myself to finally build my own rocket. This rocket has been an incredible journey, upon which I have learned raw skills such as 3D modeling and printing, electronics design, and C++ programming. Importantly, I worked through mechanical design challenges such as maximizing actuation range of the motor mount in a compact space, and designing an ultra-reliable ejection system. While the rocket hasn't seen its first flight, it is essentially a completed system, only requiring tuning during hold-down tests.
